Please read them carefully before using this website or making a purchase.

1. About Jones Jewellery

Jones Jewellery is an independent jewellery maker specialising in:

- Handmade sterling silver and gold jewellery

- Memorial inclusion jewellery (ashes, hair, fur, breastmilk)

- Fingerprint and handwriting jewellery

- Remodelling of preloved jewellery

- Permanent jewellery (welded bracelets/anklets/necklaces)

- Bespoke and commission pieces

All items are handmade in Bedfordshire, UK.

2. Use of This Website

By using this website, you confirm that:

- You are at least 18 years old, or using the site under adult supervision

- You agree not to copy, sell, or misuse any content, images, or designs displayed

- You will not attempt to harm, disrupt, or misuse the site or its features

- All jewellery designs, product descriptions, and images remain the intellectual property of Jones Jewellery.

3. Products & Handmade Nature

All jewellery is handcrafted, meaning:

- Each piece may vary slightly in colour, pattern, or texture

- Inclusion materials (ashes, hair, breastmilk, etc.) create unique variations

- Small imperfections are normal in handmade items and are not classed as defects

- Product photos are for representation only - the final piece may differ slightly due to the handmade process and natural materials used.

4. Memorial Inclusion Materials

When ordering memorial jewellery, you may be asked to send ashes, hair, fur, breastmilk, handwriting, or other personal inclusions.

By sending inclusion materials, you confirm that:

- You are legally entitled to provide these materials

- You accept any risks associated with posting or transporting such materials

- You understand that very small amounts may be consumed during the process

Jones Jewellery will always treat inclusion materials with dignity and respect.

Unused Ashes/Hair/Fur

Any unused ashes, hair, or fur will be returned with your finished jewellery unless you request otherwise.

5. Breastmilk Jewellery Disclaimer

Breastmilk jewellery naturally varies in colour and texture and may change slightly over time.

Jones Jewellery uses professional preservation techniques but cannot guarantee:

- Colour permanence

- Identical consistency across orders

- Exact matching between two separate pieces

These natural variations are normal and not classed as defects.

6. Remodelling Preloved Jewellery

If you request a remodelling or melting-down service, you acknowledge:

- Preloved metals may react differently during melting

- There is a small risk of cracking, pitting, or melting loss

- Jones Jewellery is not liable for issues arising from the condition of the metal you provide

- You must ensure any jewellery provided is your own lawful property.

7. Permanent Jewellery (Welded Chains)

Permanent jewellery is custom-fitted and welded closed.

By booking this service, you acknowledge:

- The chain has no clasp and must be cut to remove

- You are responsible for your own aftercare

- If your chain breaks due to accidental snagging or misuse, this is not considered a fault

- Re-welds may incur a small fee

- All chains are checked for quality before welding.

8. Ordering & Payment

Orders are placed via the website checkout or through a booking/consultation.

Payments are processed securely through Stripe or GoHighLevel’s (Go Thrive Online's) integrated payment system.

Jones Jewellery accepts:

- Credit/debit cards

- Apple Pay / Google Pay (if enabled)

- Bank transfer for custom orders (if agreed)

An order is only confirmed once payment is received.

9. Lead Times & Turnaround

Typical turnaround times:

- Standard jewellery: 7–21 days

- Memorial jewellery: 2–6 weeks

- Remodelling: 4–8 weeks

- Permanent jewellery: 2-6 weeks

Turnaround time may vary based on workload, materials, or supplier delays.

10. Shipping & Delivery

Orders are shipped using tracked UK delivery unless otherwise stated.

Jones Jewellery is not responsible for:

- Delays caused by Royal Mail, couriers, or customs

- Lost parcels due to incorrect addresses provided by the customer

- Lost parcels when customers choose untracked delivery

All finished memorial pieces are packaged securely and with care.

11. Returns & Refunds

Custom & Memorial Jewellery

Because these pieces are made to order and personalised, they are non-refundable under UK law unless:

- The item arrives damaged

- The item is faulty

Changes of mind, preference, or sizing errors are not eligible for refunds.

Faults & Damages

If your item arrives damaged or faulty:

- You must report this within 7 days

- You will be asked to provide photos

- Jones Jewellery will repair or replace the item wherever possible

- Damage caused by misuse, neglect, or accidental breakage is not covered.

Preloved Jewellery Remodelling

Refunds are not possible once melting or repurposing work has begun.

12. Cancellations

Standard Orders

Orders may be cancelled within 24 hours of purchase if work has not yet begun.

Memorial Jewellery

Cancellations are not possible once inclusion materials have been received.

Appointments

Appointments may be cancelled or rescheduled up to 24 hours in advance.

13. Guarantee & Aftercare

Jones Jewellery offers a 6-month workmanship guarantee covering manufacturing defects.

This does not cover:

- Breakages due to wear & tear

- Accidental damage

- Tarnishing (normal for sterling silver)

- Discolouration of breastmilk jewellery

- Snapped permanent jewellery from pulling/snagging

14. Liability

Jones Jewellery is not liable for:

- Loss or damage to inclusion materials during postage

- Issues caused by incorrect customer information

- Delayed deliveries beyond our control

- Skin reactions to metals (customers must check suitability)

All jewellery should be worn with care.
